Hector Garnica, formerly of Miami-Dade Transit, joins Clever Devices

Woodbury, New York (November 10, 2022) – Clever Devices is excited to announce that Hector Garnica has joined the company as a leader on the Product Management team. Mr. Garnica has over 20 years of experience working in the IT industry leading large-scale projects involving strategic planning, budgeting, application development, and infrastructure design and support, most recently as the Division Director at Miami-Dade County.

Mr. Garnica’s experience lends a unique perspective to Clever Devices’ product vision, strategy, and execution. In this role, he will monitor market activities and emerging technologies to recommend product enhancements and modifications that align with customer requirements and product roadmaps. He will also lead special projects involving research and development focused on industry innovation.

In his 20-year tenure at Miami-Dade County, Mr. Garnica oversaw the Transportation Mobility and Innovation Teams that supported the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW). In this role, he was responsible for delivering IT services while overseeing contract management, resource allocation, vendor and change management, fiscal planning, strategic planning, and monitoring key performance indicators. Mr. Garnica was also responsible for departmental IT innovation and delivering proper technology and software solutions that enabled business functions and improved efficiencies.
