Clever Devices Ltd. To Expand Operations and Create Jobs with Help from ReCharge NY Program

Woodbury, NY  — January 8, 2023  — Clever Devices Ltd. has secured a significant boost to its operations through the New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) ReCharge NY program. This initiative, a key component of New York State’s economic development strategy, aims to support businesses and nonprofits by providing specially allocated NYPA power, thereby lowering energy costs for qualifying entities.

Clever Devices Ltd. received 46 kilowatts of allocated clean hydropower from the ReCharge NY program in exchange for committing to a multi-million dollar investment in its Woodbury headquarters over the next seven years. The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Stanton, revealed that the funds will be primarily directed towards expanding computing capacity by 25%. This expansion will involve the acquisition of new server systems and specialized software, positioning Clever Devices Ltd. at the forefront of technological innovation.

The overarching goal of the ReCharge NY program is to incentivize companies to remain in the state, contribute to employment growth, expand operations, and make substantial local investments. Clever Devices Ltd. is aligning with this vision by pledging to invest $5.7 million in infrastructure, encompassing IT systems, test systems, specialized software tools, and office equipment by 2031.

In addition to the capital investment, Clever Devices Ltd. has committed to adding 50 jobs over the next seven years, further contributing to the local economy.
