Capital Metro Modernizes with CleverVision Onboard Digital Signage

Capital Metro in Austin, TX will soon be outfitting 67 local service buses with CleverVision 29-inch wide-screen digital signage from Clever Devices. The displays will allow for multiple simultaneous data streams, featuring RTPI, local weather and local news.

According to Dottie Watkins, Chief Customer Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Capital Metro, the screens could also be used for safety and service alerts that may impact transit service. The agency will have the flexibility to create announcements ahead of major events like the Austin Marathon reminding customers of any service changes.

Displays are set to be installed on 55 MetroRapid buses and 12 purchased battery-electric buses.
